So much is happening with graphic libraries, HTML5, and social networks. I really believe this is one of the best times to be alive for a web developer. We now have rich visualization tools and open source libraries to visualize and collect data.

Take some time to go through the videos from w3conf.org.

The presentations I enjoyed the most:

Mike Bostock - Data Visualization with Web Standards

Giorgio Sardo's HTML5 demos

Along with the graphics libraries expanding we also have so much data to analyze and display. Announced today was v1.0 of ThinkUp.

"ThinkUp is a free, open source web application that captures all your activity on social networks like Twitter, Facebook and Google+."

The possibilities of this tool are endless. Combining this back end server with something like d3.js will make for some great future demos.
